Silicone rubber for manual molding applications

Silicone rubber for molding making is mainly applicable to manual mold design, PVC plastic molds, cement product molds, melting point alloy molds, alloy toy craftworks, plastic toy craftworks, gifts and stationery, large statues, duplication of cultural relics, shoe sole mold fabrication, pad printing positioning, shock resistance for electronic equipments, etc.

 Silicone rubber for manual molding features

Silicone rubber for mold making is white or red flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50A°after curing. Requirements for the silicone rubber: low shrinkage, no deformation of the mould, good elasticity, the more moulds duplicated the better, etc.

Silicone rubber for manual molding operations

618# manual mold silicone rubber is flowing liquid with consistant quality in whatever color. It consists of two components, wherein component A is silicone rubber, and component B is curing agent or vulcanizing agent. Firstly process and prepare the model mold or the product to be duplicated, take certain amount of the silicone rubber, add 2-3% solidifying agent, and mix evenly for use. One mold pair can be solidified and formed in 2-3 hours. The formed mold can be used repeatedly without deformation and water shrinkage and with high temperature resistance, thereby providing fast duplication of the product with a product shrinkage 2. The 618 manual mold silicon is mainly applicable to manual molds and small number of product duplication.

What should we do if a silicone rubber mold product deforms?  

The solution depends on the size of the product. In principle, the size of the product should be in direct proportion to the hardness of the silicone rubber. Regarding small or very fine detailed products, soft silicone  with hardness of 10-20 shore A is required for easier demould without damaging the lines of the fine products. Regarding large products, such as products with size above 50 cm, silicone rubber with hardness of 40-50 shore A  is required for non-deformation. Regarding large but fine products, silicone rubber with hardness of about 30 shore A can be used for mold making (the method is to brush a layer silicone rubber  and then paste a layer of glass fiber cloth and brush another silicone rubber), the outer mold can be made of gypsum, fiberglass reinforced plastics (unsaturated resin plus glass fiber cloth) for preventing the products from deforming.
